Melanoid Axolotls look very similar to dark Wild Types. However, this Axolotl has an increased amount of melanophores, or dark pigment, and lacks shiny pigments. This lack of shine means they don’t have golden flecks or other colours throughout their bodies like a wildtype. They are solid black in colour.
Currently eating frozen Blood worms, Earthworms, and/or Axolotls pellets. The images in the display are pictures of either past Axolotls for sale or images submitted to us by customers or social media.
